Mauritian exporters can benefit from preferential market access to China, the European Union, India, Pakistan, Turkey, UK, US, and member States of COMESA, SADC, and AfCFTA, which together represent a market of nearly 70% of the global population on preferential terms.
To capitalize on these opportunities, the Economic Development Board (EDB) of Mauritius is developing an innovative tool known as the e-Export Directory. This online platform will provide Mauritian companies engaged in exports with increased exposure to international buyers of goods and services, to expand their export reach across all preferential markets.
The e-Export Directory offers a comprehensive business listing platform for Mauritian exporters at no cost. International buyers can easily locate Mauritian companies by category of goods or services, view product/service details, and understand the market access conditions of each offering in different preferential markets.
Using this tool, exporters can leverage the information in the e-Export Directory during discussions with potential clients and at international trade fairs to enhance their export opportunities.
