The Economic Development Board will lead a high-level Investment Prospection Mission to the Middle East, namely to the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, from 22 April to 1 May 2024 in line with its market diversification strategy and the signature of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) with the United Arab Emirates.
Primary objectives of this mission will be establishment of strategic cooperation agreements with key Institutions of the GCC countries, offering of networking platforms for delegates from the Mauritius private sector to discuss partnerships and investment with the business communities in the targeted countries. Some 40 local operators from the Financial Services, ICT, Real Estate and Construction, Freeport and Logistics, Engineering Contracting and Textile Recycling sectors have expressed interest to participate in the Mission for exploring cross-border business opportunities.
This landmark mission is being organised in close collaboration with Mauritius Diplomatic Missions to the Middle East, Dubai Chambers, Dubai International Promoters Association, Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ministry of Investment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
